Here is my revised line up for Round 3. Thanks for the benefit of your insight Ken and Jo in helping identify our strongest possible team for this round.
Round 3 will be scored under the Stableford Points system and we will be playing the strongest looking team in our Group.
Below is the revised stableford points scoring for Round 3, which was just posted by Paul Finn on the WGT Forum WC thread.
"stableford points scoring
bogey = 1 point
par = 2 points
birdie = 3 points
eagle = 4 points
d/eagle = 5 points
RULES
Each match will be played to a win, draw lose no sudden death,
Each match will have a 2 week timeline to complete
Any matches not completed on time will be looked at by the panel and a decision made on the result depending on evidence supplied,
Any players refusing to play will forfeit their match,
Any player with a - 2 must deduct points from their final score
Any player with a - 4 must deduct 4 points from their final score
Once a match been played the result will stand so it’s up to all players to check the opponents tier before start of play,
I would suggest a 90sec shot time with 7 timeouts but players can go for less if both agree if one doesn’t then 90secs no arguments,
No focus boosts will be allowed during matches. Use of this tool will lead to a disqualification
Players please when posting results, I would like group number, teams and players please and a short post of the match,
Let’s keep the forum busy but no negative comments from anyone, if you have problem contact your captain first."
Jason (JW1K) qualifies for 2 point deduction from his opponent's final score. Opposing team has no one that qualifies for a handicap, unless they bring in a sub.
I am about to write Jason to set mine up.
So far we have just 3 of our Round 3 matches against the Trans Bandits team completed and no confirmation that any of the other 5 matches being scheduled. Remi, Jason (lookoutbunker), Ken, Steve and Mike please post the status of your matches in this thread and let me know if you are having any trouble getting a response from your opponent. Thanks guys.
Well done by both players
Finished match as a draw both on 49 points each, good result when I was 1 point behind going into the 18th hole, Carl
The -8 is missing next to Young46's name. I am sure it is just an oversight.
Agreed Lar,
If he had provided this Info sooner we may have put out a different line up but sure we could only go with the Info we were provided with at the time
Thanks Ken. Wish Paul had emailed team captains about this change.
Just spotted this on the main WGT Forum's, This Is from the WC orgaiser (Paul Finn) on the WC Thread
WC stableford points scoring system
bogey = 1 point
par = 2 points
birdie = 3 points
eagle = 4 points
d/eagle = 5 points
You'd a tough call there Lar as to who to leave out, All the following Group matches after this will be "easier" to a degree (Apart from last Group match) to pick a team for/more wiggle room for you to chop n change the team around
I would agree with Ken. I think we are missing a couple key players given the difficulty of this round.
Hi Lar,
I feel that LookoutBunker (Jason) Is the form player at the mo, Not just because of his great win In the last round (Dart after dart) but also his last few rounds In general he's been on fire lately.
Also Carl (Bader) has a great head to head record against both Jason (Young46) & Paytonn (golfx3) so I think Carl should also has to be Included.
I don't know who you'd drop to fit them In, Maybe either Myself, Yourself Lar or possibly Jerry, Very tough to know who to drop for who, Just my personal opinion, What does everyone else think.
Don't envy you making the final, final pick Lar
Ken
